What's Special About...?
Discover why all numbers are special
Tool created by Mariano Tomatis based on Erich Friedman's collection
In the The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy a group of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings demand to learn the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything from the supercomputer, Deep Thought, specially built for this purpose. It takes Deep Thought 7 million years to compute and check the answer, which turns out to be 42.
Being the answer to Ultimate Question, 42 is probably the most important number in the Universe, but it is easy to show that each number is unique and some way "special", thanks to Erich Friedman's huge collection of curiosities about strange properties of numbers.
Write your number in the box and press the button to discover what's special about it.
