The Vigenère cipher is a method of encrypting alphabetic texts with a polyalphabetic substitution, through a series of different Caesar ciphers based on the letters of a keyword. This tool can be used to encrypt messages by specifying a keyword.

The puzzle published on page 104 of the issue of Wired Magazine (May 2009), guest edited by J.J. Abrams, can be solved by converting numbers into a string, then using "Wired Magazine" as a key.
